Its a fun, fast hatch....

Because we like our crossovers too much for that to sell

Because it’s a fun, fast, hatch.

i’d buy one in a heartbeat, love those things. I only ended up with a 535i because I wanted a wagon with a fast (after tuning) motor. if they sold 335 or 135 wagon/hatch here...

You make a post about a hatch with a picture that could be anything. Was it too hard to just step around it and take a pic of the back? Or was it in fact a coupe and your imagination took over?

Fast
Good...
Fun
Also good...
Hatch
Well there’s your problem!

Why must you rub salt in the wound like this?

The problem: none of those three words are “crossover.”

We already have enough shitty german cars.

It’s an M140i
People here are very special with car pics, so I had to take the picture quickly because maybe the owner was coming!

Take M140i+30mm taller ride height+stupid plastic cladding=best seller.

Are you describing the BMW X1?
![]() 04/05/2018 at 17:07 |

is the X1 a RWD 340hp car?
![]() 04/05/2018 at 17:09 |

I get that... but it’s the same platform as the m240i and that’s sold in the US; I don’t think it would take too much to certify the car in the US; the engine already is so emissions are taken care off, same chasis means that in the crash tests it will perform very similar/

I don’t think most car buyers would really care about RWD and 340hp, it doesn’t make sense for BMW to bring that over here and get it certified when most people would just buy the X1. It sucks but us car enthusiasts are in the minority.

Yeah, I get it... it could be a good competitor for the golf R, or, in 130i form, a good competitor for the Golf GTI

But none of the BMWs are crossovers.. they’re “Sports Activty Vehicles”.
